Home Brew Club

I am an avid beer drinker and would love to start home brewing. I am wondering if there are any local brewing clubs in the area?

I home brew, mainly ales and meads. Last one was an oaked vanilla bourbon porter. But not sure if there is a club around, however. There is a brew on premise place in Nashua called incrediBREW.

The problem with brewing alone is you end up with 5 gallons of any particular recipe, which is a lot. I wouldn't mind having something like a "cookie swap" of home brews.

Part of being in a brew club is that you can share your brew with other members...That way you don't end up with 5 gallons of one thing...I have only brewed once and I loved it, so I want to pursue this further since I am not getting any younger...:-)

I like to drink, any left overs let me know so I can batter with you for the dregs of the barrel.

An event to note, coming up next week: The Blues 'N Brews festival here in Westford at the Nashoba Valley Ski Area. Along with area craft brews they have a homebrew competition.

The competition is sponsored by FOAM == Fitchburg Order of Ale Makers, which suggests there is no club closer than Fitchburg.

I imagine that I could get my husband on board with some local brewers - whether for a swap or for some brewing...
