I can see warnings like this being useful for Tom Sawyer or Huckleberry Finn. But the Federalist Papers? First, this is not something that children tend to seek out for their independent reading. Second, I doubt many parents can discourse at length on how our views of the Constitution have changed since 1791. And those who do would not need the warning.
I take this just as a statement of "We are more modern, more enlightened than the the previous generations". Every generation believes this to one degree or another. And all are wrong.
