The 99 is good, so is Chilis. I've not had alot of good dealings with AppleBee's. My impression of AppleBees is "meat locker tempatures" and "chared beyond" food. But I rather eat at AppleBees then Boston Market in Westford.

I would like to see a good seafood place. I see ads for Red Lobster, but the closest one is in South Wethersfield, CT! Maybe there's one in the area, I'm not aware of, like, in Nashua?

But I agree, have a different kind of food offering in that area, would be a good thing.

As someone who grow up in an area full of Red Lobsters - that is not what you want for a seafood restaurant. I would rather see a unique seafood restaurant rather than a franchise anyday.

You could try the Atlantic Sea Grill on 2A in Acton in the small plaza at the corner of Popes Road.
More pricey than Red lobster but the increase in price is minimal compared to the increase in quality.
Failing that you might find the Red lobster in Albany easier to get to than the one in CT.

Red Lobster is horrid! Try FishBones in Chelmsford! Atlantic Sea Grill is great too.

A reliable source told me that the last day of operation for Applebees in Westford will be Sunday, February 14. After that, the facility will be renovated and become the newest location for a British Beer Company restaurant. More info about British Beer Company here:

I think the Westford location will attract customers because there aren't any other British Beer Company restaurants in our area. Don't know how good the food is, but it will be new and different.

Only been to the British Beer Works in Hyannis. Twice. Two different trips. Good beer. Absolutely horrible food, just like the food in Britain used to be. So, it is authentic in a sense.
And, the Red Lobster is to good seafood as McDonald's is to a fine steak restaurant.

I remember that place. I used to like how it was three places in one. They had the really nice place up and to the left. Then they had a casual place with a great fireplace near the fron and way in back, near where the bar is now, was THE BAR.. peanuts shells on the floor and red checkered plastic table cloths.. good times good times

So I took the kids to Applebees for dinner tonight.. had a 20 minute wait that turned into 40 since they said they were shorthanded in the kitchen. As I was standing that I saw the sign on the door. February 14th is their last day of operation in Westford... food was yuck tonight as usual

RIP Applebee's in Westford. Looking forward to change in local fare.
